Rare and early tin cylinder mailbox made by The Maple Hill Manufacturing Company of Maple Hill KS, designed by metalworker W.S. Isham. Dated 1903. Made to mount on a 5" by 5 1/2" wood post, it has been suggested that this was made by a Fence or Windmill manufacture. Approved by the Postmaster General on Jan 23, 1903.
